​Dahlia Basar has won the UKBCCI Directors’ Choice Award category at the UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce & Industry (UKBCCI) Inaugural Business & Entrepreneur Excellence Awards 2016 and Gala Dinner.

Held at the London Hilton Park Lane on Sunday 20th November, the glittering awards ceremony saw Dahlia win the award in the presence of over 800 guests, made up of dignitaries, VIPs, MPs and prominent members of the business community.

As someone with a reputation which is second to none, Dahlia has been making waves in the world of TV and digital media strategy and technology development for almost 15 years. Currently working for You Tube and responsible for growing watchtime and revenue for core UK partners such as Endemol Global, Diagonal View and Studio71, Dahlia has been cultivating these existing partnerships to make sure they can take full advantage of YouTube’s suite of offerings. Her work enables her to ensure that partner strategies are aligned with YouTube key growth objectives. Prior to that, Dhalia joined Google back in 2004 and her main passion has been to work on social impact projects. She was UK lead for Google Grants in the UK for 5 years where she worked with non-profits to help them get Google Grants for their business to help them build their brands on Google and digitally.
