Zubair Hoque - Racing Driver

Zubair Hoque, the racing driver based in Cheshire, has won the Business Innovation Award category at the UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce & Industry (UKBCCI) Inaugural Business & Entrepreneur Excellence Awards 2016 and Gala Dinner.

Held at the London Hilton Park Lane on Sunday 20th November, the glittering awards ceremony saw Zubair win the award in the presence of over 800 guests, made up of dignitaries, VIPs, MPs and prominent members of the business community.

From a very early age, Zubair’s passion has always been motorsport and he took his first steps at the age of 8 through kart racing (where most racing drivers typically start). He gradually progressed through the ranks, competing in prestigious British and European Championships through his teenage years. In 2014, at the age of 18, he moved into single-seat formula racing and competed in the BRDC Formula 4 Winter Series Championship, finishing as ‘Top Rookie’. Whilst competing against vastly more experienced international drivers from as far away as Brazil, Mexico and Russia he finished an impressive 5th overall. In 2015, he completed his first full season in the Formula 4 Championship and scored his 1st podium finish at the 2nd race. Zubair continues to develop his racing skills.
